meet angela

Angela (She/Her) is a Licensed Massage Therapist offering Customized Therapeutic Massage and Myofascial Release. She attended Lotus Professional College for Massage Therapy and has completed 4 John Barnes’ Myofascial Technique Training Seminars, with her 5th scheduled for this fall. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University for drawing and metal-smithing, with a focus on jewelry design. She credits her creativity as having propelled her into a lifetime of curiosity, appreciation, and interest in the human body and its many mysteries. After art school, she lived in New Orleans for 16 years. Angela fell in love with the city’s rich culture, diverse art presence, and soulful music scene. She has traveled throughout Thailand, India, the Pacific Northwest, and various places along the West Coast. Most recently, Angela resided in the Red Woods of Northern California. She moved back to her home city of Richmond, Virginia in 2020 to pursue Massage Therapy and be closer to family.

Angela feels both grateful and enormously honored to serve the community of RVA. Her style of massage is a delicate blend of myofascial release and Swedish massage, with an emphasis on balancing the body. She enjoys offering cupping, hot stones, CBD products, and aromatherapy. Angela’s approach is intuitive, attentive, and greatly relaxing. She values creating connections with each client and listening to their individual needs in every session.

Angela is a Taurus Sun, Leo Moon, and Sagittarius Rising. Self-care for her looks like exercising, tarot reading, red-light therapy, and spending time in or near the James River. She is a lover of tea and nature, reading the I Ching, traveling, and gardening.
